Mactus Group is seeking a talented PR professional for a long-term contract role that will help position our customer as the preferred search platform for advertisers. The successful candidate will thrive in a high-pressure, quick-turn environment and be able to deliver succinct messaging, consistently meeting deadlines. They will have a deep knowledge of the search industry as well as the competitive environment. Thoughtful storytelling and creative and unique ideas will be appreciated as they seek ways to position Ads as a competitive offering. This role will be expected to develop press materials, presentations and community site content as well as provide guidance on social media channels.
The ultimate goal is to drive coverage. Secondary, the candidate should be partnering with the display PR manager and all product suites to tell cross-device and services stories when possible. This candidate must be highly effective in partnering with multiple teams to ensure issues are appropriately routed and addressed. Change is a constant, so candidate must be agile, quick on their feet and adaptable.

JOB
Responsibilities:
Field incoming enquiries, determine response and act thoughtfully in a deadline-driven environment.
Deeply understand the industry and competitive landscape to proactively pitch and work with the agency to place story ideas.
Stay aligned with product development to own and map timelines and inform Advertising team of newsworthy events and recommend PR amplification.
Lead biweekly search team meetings.
Integrate with cross-company stakeholders within and outside of department to ensure appropriate and relevant communications.
Own a variety of cross-group, strategic story ideas based on the evolving business needs of the group as needed.
Create Ad content on community site, the Blog, as well as recruit authors as identified as industry influencers.
Work with internal and external partners to develop and jointly execute PR strategies.
Integrate PR activities with marketing for national and global events, conferences and initiatives.
Provide counsel to internal clients in engineering, marketing and beyond, manage expectations and educate as necessary.
Collaborate on a daily basis with other PR teams and agency partners.
BASIC
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be effective and responsive under deadline while simultaneously juggling multiple priorities and stakeholders; possess strong verbal and writing skills with an ability to distill core messages from complex topics; be proactive and competent working with various groups and working styles; demonstrate an ability to think creatively as well as strategically. This candidate must also be able to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external partners, media, trade press and public relations agencies.
A minimum of 3 years work experience in public relations, marketing, public affairs or journalism required.
Experience in search industry necessary.
BA/BS also required.
Global experience a plus.
