Manager, of Supplier development will implement mechanisms to assess and develop suppliers.
Collaborate with respective sourcing commodity leaders to build out capability the capacity and capacity.
This role will work closely with Business, Engineering, Production Ops and other key stakeholders in developing and managing business relationships with critical material, technology and services suppliers as well scale internal process capability appropriately.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a successful track record of leading and managing a team, developing and executing strategy, assist in negotiating master agreements and statements of work, managing supplier performance, and ensuring on-time delivery.
Experienced working in new and ambiguous environments while solving challenging and complex problems with a broad range of cross functional stakeholders will be an advantage.
o Responsible for leading Supplier Capacity and Capability engagements, which includes assessments and execution of action planso Work with a range of stakeholders including business leaders, engineering leaders, Manufacturing engineering teams to improve supplier performance to meet Kuiper business needs.
o Analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments that benefit Amazon's customerso Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizationso Prioritize projects and activities to deliver maximum cost reductions and reliable supplyo Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goalso Evaluate and monitor financial health of critical supplierso Effectively lead cross-functional meetings with clear document writing to drive outcomes.

A day in the lifeThis role will partner with the Sourcing commodity leaders, Hardware engineering teams and Production Operations teams to establish and execute supplier assessments and develop strategies that both 1) meet the short- and long-term technical and business objectives and 2) meet long-term cost, production scaling and risk management requirements to achieve Kuiper's customer and financial targets.
