Kleinfelder's Redmond (Seattle) WA office is seeking a Washington Association of Building Officials (WABO) Special Inspector to join our team.
We provide construction inspection and material testing services to a broad range of local and national clients.
We are looking for individuals who are interested in in joining a dynamic team and building their career in the field of construction inspection and materials testing.
We're looking for a person with strong initiative, who will perform routine to complex inspection and testing of construction materials in the field, in order to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
The Special Inspector will prepare daily reports and data sheets and may be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.
Desired Certifications include:
(any combination) or willing to obtain in the first six (6) months of employment:
ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade I Nuclear Gauge Certified WABO Reinforced Concrete and Proprietary Anchor Responsibilities include the following :
Perform daily construction quality inspection/testing of day/night work operation to confirm the contractor is complying with the requirements of the contract plans and specifications.
Prepare detailed Daily Inspection Reports, with photos, accurately reflecting the construction progress.
Inspect and document materials acceptance.
Maintain a good working relationship with contractor and client.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to expand their skills and certifications through company provided training and mentoring.

Must be able to use a computer and a general knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and photo management software is required.
Must have own vehicle, a valid driver's license and clean driving record required.

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Washington Pay Transparency Law.
Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
Salary range:
$63,000 - $94,000 annually (DOE).
