Researcher – Machine Learning – Microsoft Research

Algorithms group at MSR (Microsoft Research) Redmond is looking for exceptional researchers to contribute to several ambitious projects aimed at advancing the state of the art in deep learning with particular focus on differentially private learning, diffusion models, and quantization of deep learning models.
Applicants should have a demonstrated ability for independent research, firm academic publication record, and hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.

Qualifications:
PhD in computer science, mathematics, electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
PREFERRED

Well-established research track record of publications.
Demonstrated expertise with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
Ability to define your own research agenda.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate, communicate effectively, and work as part of a team.
Solid understanding of internals of deep learning tools, libraries, and frameworks.
Exposure to language modeling.
Familiarity with differential privacy for machine learning (e.
g.

S.
is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.
