Microsoft s Azure Data engineering team is leading the transformation of analytics in the world of data with products like databases, data integration, big data analytics, messaging & real-time analytics, and business intelligence.
Our mission is to build the data platform for the age of AI, powering a new class of data-first applications and driving a data culture.
Within Azure Data, the databases team builds and maintains Microsoft's operational Database systems.
We store and manage data in a structured way to enable multitude of applications across various industries.
We are on a journey to enable developer friendly, mission-critical, AI enabled operational Databases across relational, non-relational and OSS offerings.
The Azure Data SQL Security Authorization and Identity team is seeking people who are passionate about creating a secure distributed service that can handle massive scale, high performance, and high reliability, and that supports customer authentication, authorization, identity management and storage credential management for Azure SQL.
We are a cross functional team that facilitates Azure SQL s integration with Microsoft Entra Id, Azure Storage and Managed Identities, to enable a seamless authentication, authorization, and identity management experience for our customers.

Required/Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, and C#.
3+years of experience designing, implementing, and shipping products.
Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
Development or use of distributed or cloud platform components.
Proficient debugging of application code with tools such as WinDbg.
Design and development experience in database engines, distributed systems, and cloud computing.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
