Edge Security Lead

Do you have a passion for finding security bugs? Have you ever wanted to run a team that develops and runs fuzzers that scale to thousands of cores? How would you like to lead a team dedicated to keeping the web safe and help us deliver on our objective of making Edge the most secure way to browse the web?The Microsoft Edge Security Team is responsible for securing Edge client code.
We work with developers to ensure features are designed with security in mind and we work to identify bugs before hackers do.
You will also work with our industry partners to contribute security improvements to the Chromium project to make the web safer for everyone.
As the Microsoft Edge Security Lead you will lead a team of talented engineers focused on browser security.
You will be expected to have extensive experience with working with teams in security research, commanding a technical knowledge of code audit, fuzzer development, crash analysis and web security.
Successful candidates will be able to find creative ways to break assumptions and bypass mitigations.
It is highly beneficial to also have a deep understanding of security fundamentals, computer science skills, and a passion for keeping Microsoft's customers safe.

Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

years of engineering management experience.

experience in a relevant professional development or security-focused role, security techniques and technologies.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8
years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experience.

years people management experience.
Public track record of relevant security research along with relevant Common Vulnerability Enumerations (CVE) if available, especially around browser vulnerability discovery.
Experience with writing basic exploits for native applications.
Development and deployment of fuzz testing software.
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
