Within Azure Data, the big data analytics team provides a range of products that enable data engineers and data scientists to extract intelligence from all data structured, semi-structured, and unstructured.
We build the Data Engineering, Data Science, and Data Integration pillars of Microsoft Fabric.
The Fabric Customer Advisory Team (CAT) is hiring a Principal Program Manager, who has deep hands-on technical experience with big data analytics solution implementations with HDInsight and Fabric.
The candidate should also have insights into the business needs and expectations of our customers as they invest in BI solutions.
This will enable us to secure strategic deals that leverage not only HDInsight and Fabric, but also other components of the Microsoft BI and data stack.

Required/Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Math, Business, or related field AND 6
years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
Other RequirementsAbility to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafterPreferred/Additional QualificationsHadoop Ecosystem:
Experience in working with Hadoop components like HDFS, YARN, MapReduce, Hive, and HBase.
Azure Cloud:
Familiarity with Azure services, especially HDInsight.
Programming Languages:
Experience in languages like Python, Java or Scala.
Data Processing:
Understanding of data processing frameworks like Spark, Flink, Trino, and or KafkaSQL and NoSQL Databases:
Experience with databases such as SQL Server, Cosmos DB, or Cassandra.
Security and Authentication:
Understanding of securing HDInsight clusters using Azure AD, Kerberos, or other authentication methods.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Proficiency in monitoring cluster health, diagnosing issues, and optimizing performance.
Customer Experience Program Mgmt IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.
S.
is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
