The Xbox Gaming Subscription Business Planning team (which is home to Xbox Game Pass) is responsible for driving more subscribers, engagement and monetization to the Xbox ecosystem and platform. This role provides an incredible chance to build general management acumen, develop end-to-end business leadership skills and drive a significant impact on a marquee service in a fast-changing category. This role is a highly visible position where you'll need to become a strategic partner and trusted advisor with senior Microsoft leaders across the Gaming organization.
We are seeking an innovative and curious Senior Business Planner who will play a critical key role in defining and achieving our growth objectives by driving the financial modelling and valuation of our subscribers. This person will be responsible for leading multiple cross-organization workstreams and projects across a variety of areas, including the development of a valuation model (CLR/LTV) and its drivers (e.g., Customer Acquisition Cost, Retention) to be used when assessing strategic decisions. Above all, this person will need to have a desire to help drive change and growth in a rapidly evolving industry. This role has potential to develop into a people manager role, and requires a demonstrated track record of leading strategic projects to execution and peer or people management experience.

Responsibilities
Partner across teams and organizations to drive a unified view on CLR/LTV, and its main drivers, to be used when assessing strategic questions.
Develop perspective on all up growth across revenue and subscriptions volume by maximizing investment tradeoffs
Provides guidance to team by defining the customer segmentation, acquisition cost, churn, customer lifetime value, and determining the optimal model outcomes (e.g., programs, promotions, pricing, products) to drive user growth and value.
Build business cases on specific topics to influence investment decisions, roadmaps, go-to-market strategy, and/or strategic deal outcomes.
Oversee the quarterly forecasting and annual planning processes to ensure it meets the latest business needs
Be the connective tissue across planning and business insights by playing a key role in the monthly business review process.
Build effective relationships with colleagues across marketing, finance, engineering & business organizations

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications

years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experienceOR equivalent experience
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
8
years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related fieldOR 6
years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), or related field
OR equivalent experience.

years people management experience
Extensive financial modeling experience, with comfort pressure testing key assumptions from multiple perspective and explaining drivers simply to others
Excellent executive communication skills (written and verbal), including a track record of leading synthesized and clear discussions with senior leaders to actionable decisions
Experience with subscription businesses preferred
Business Planning M4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $101,200 - $194,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $130,000 - $213,200 per year. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
