The Solution Technical Lead designs the best possible solution within the constraints of specifications, costs, products, quality and timelines, and is ultimately accountable for the veracity of its resulting implementation through to final solution delivery and acceptance by the customer.
Designs and executes the technical solution in customer project with high complexity and risk. Provides leadership and leads large project technical teams to deliver integration, operations or performance relating services.
Creates Technical Architecture & Design for Telco Cloud Data Centers that includes NFVI, NFVO, VNFM, VNFO, SDN, SDS & Cloud Security.
Technical lead for services projects that include Telco Cloud VOLTE, EPC , 5G and other Nokia value added applications
Takes ownership in the resolution of critical design related issues blocking Nokia's integration/validation/acceptance obligations and customer raised/escalated design related issues.
Acts as a trusted advisor partnering with the customer on its strategy positioning & end-user understanding based on previous experience in end-to-end architecture on multiple domains.
Understands and captures the critical inputs of stakeholders, and translates them into effective requirements and solutions.
Specifies & designs effective end-to-end solutions, through the design of architecture, to meet customer needs in a market positioning prospective.
Applies solution architecture standards processes and principles, to create and maintain a solution's integrity over time, including verification that the solution meets the clients requirements.
Develops the full scope of the solution, working across organizations to achieve workable solutions.
Total industry experience between 8-10years, experience in IT, Telecom & Cloud.
Good understanding in presales aspects like scoping and estimation and risk management
Able to take responsibility of for solution architecture / design and lead technical issues
Good Knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE/VOLTE/VoWiFi Networks and Call flows
Previous experience creating complex E2E technical architecture and design for multi-vendor telecom network applications
Hands-on knowledge with cloud technologies & projects involving:
Various Network Function Virtualization Infrastructures (NFVI) like Openstack (Redhat, Ubuntu Canonical, Mirantis) and VMWare
Elasticity and Scale-in/Scale-out and Life Cycle Management with VNFM (VNF Manager) like JuJu, Cloudify Gigaspecs, Brocade VNFM
Service and Network Orchestration with a VNFO (VNF Orchestrator) like Cloudify, Brocade, HP, TailF
Software Defined Networking (SDN) with Juniper Contrail, Brocade Open Daylight, Dell Open Flow Switch, Nokia Nuage, Cisco ACI, BigCloud bigswitch
Software Defined Storage (SDS) with CEPH, EMC Scale IO, HP Store Virtual, NetApp SDS
Cloud Security tools and techniques
Automated Cloud configuration with Puppet, Chef,
Ansible playbooks and Mistral workflows for Openstack
Redhat CloudForms management
HEAT template creation and execution for Openstack
Candidate should have prior working experience in some of the following platforms and technologies:
IP Multimedia System (IMS, HSS, CSCF, TAS)
Telecom Application Servers (TAS)
EPC (Evolved Packet Core (EPC) virtualization. MME and S/P GW)
Capacity augmentation for existing services by adding Cloud applications
Migrating bare metal applications to Cloud platforms.
Performance benchmarking for Cloud platform/environment
Team player, able to communicate effectively across Practices and Customer Teams
Excellent leadership, communication and team skills
