Wargaming Seattle is looking for a savvy and creative technical artist to join our team. Our ideal candidate will provide technical solutions for aesthetic problems. As an indispensable member of the engineering team, you will be the go-to person for our current and future art tools and technologies, establishing standards for a strong pipeline that yields high quality results. You will work closely with Engineers and Artists to improve our engine and tool set for amazing visual results.
What you will do:
Use your Python and Mel scripting skills to develop and improve tools based on workflow and visual targets.
Bridge the art and engineering teams to integrate and optimize art tools and graphics features.
Document and educate artists on tool usage and best practices.
Research and integrate new technology into art production methods.
Help conquer complex animation and visual effects content challenges.
Integrate and set up art resources for game use.
Skills you'll need:
Prior experience using Mel, Python or similar scripting tools to create tools which meet the needs of a team of artists.
An ability to listen to artists, understand their needs with regards to tools and translate those into actionable technical specifications.
Experience supporting an art team working on a major PC/console release.
A background that demonstrates a well-rounded understanding of game art production and a desire to continually deliver best in class tools for artists.
An ability to thoroughly and accurately document tools and processes in a manner artists will be able to easily understand.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
